One of the biggest scams to hit the District was the closure of DC General Hospital in 2001. The corporate media, for the most part, ignored the major facts about why this occurred. Mayor Williams has a hand in what will eventually go down as one of the biggest scandals in DC history. Vincent Orange and Linda Cropp followed right along with the scam... not using their authority or power to question such a dramtic attack against the working poor and those without insurance in this capital city.
